Bitcoin bank accounts of companies arbitrarily closed?

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has confirmed the review of some banks in the country. Credit institutions are under suspicion that they have arbitrarily closed some accounts of Bitcoin companies. In an interview with the Austrlian Financial Review said the ACCC chairman Rod Sims, that the investigation had just begun.

The investigations are ongoing. There were discussions with some representatives of the banks and some feedback in this regard. The investigations are still in the early stages, but the investigation is ongoing.

Sims also told: “We ask banks why they have the account closed and which contact between the banks and the company insisted.”

The investigation was initiated by the Senator of Queensland (Matthew Canvan). He called for the ACCC to investigate whether the banks with its decision to close the accounts of 17 Bitcoin companies have acted in an anti-competitive manner
